Reiki is a safe and non-invasive form of healing that benefits people from all walks of life. Founded in the late 19th century by Dr. Mikao Usui, this ancient practice can be used to heal oneself, others, animals, plants, and even the Earth. Many people seek Reiki for pain relief, immune system support, and to restore energetic balance. It has proven effective in addressing various illnesses and works in conjunction with other medical or therapeutic techniques by accelerating the body’s natural healing abilities.

In Usui Reiki Level 1 training, you will be introduced to the history and main principles of Reiki. You will learn the basic hand positions for treatment and have the opportunity to practice using Reiki on yourself and others during the training.
This training is open to anyone interested in learning more about Reiki energy healing. Upon completion of training, you’ll have the practical tools for self-healing and for helping others on their healing path.

All that is required of you is to close your eyes, take a deep breath and bask in the ambiance of the candlelit room- all in preparation for the deep relaxation you will experience as you are guided through the 40 minutes of this beautiful meditative technique.

Yoga Nidra (often translated as Yogic Sleep) is a beautiful guided meditative technique that allows us to quiet our conscious mind and slip into a restorative space for both mind, body and soul. The practice of Yoga Nidra greatly relieves stress and anxiety, improves overall health, offers an opportunity to explore your inner-self, allows you to release long-held emotions and achieve a state of inner peace. In allowing this space within ourselves we come to find a balance between our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, therefore balancing the left and right brain. Each time you practice Yoga Nidra Meditation, you’re stilling the mind through conscious entry into the sleep state.Yoga Nidra can be practiced at any age and is easily incorporated into daily life. 30-40 minutes of this practice is the equivalent of 3-4 hours of regular sleep. When we emerge from the practice you will feel calmer, deeply refreshed and well rested. This practice will aid in allowing for a more restful and peaceful night’s sleep.

Arrive in comfortable clothing, cozy socks and prepare to restore.

When you’re so tired but so full of gratitude and you took the time to record a 5 minute long video before you got ready for bed - only to realize that video was too long to post and you’re not tech savvy enough to know how (in your half awake headspace) to splice it up and make it work- so you do this instead. So here’s take 2: so!!! Y’all !! The Makers Market Winter 2024 edition was a great success. I am so so grateful for each and every incredibly talented and equally kind individual who came out and shared their creations with the community- thank you to my yoga community fam, all the new + familiar faces and new + old friends for taking your time to come through - for your support - I hope you know that every penny you spent counted toward helping to foster and continue building the dreams of those talented individuals you met today - I love love love all of you- and cannot wait to do this again! I hope you have a wonderful night and enjoy my sleepy delirium video acknowledgements. If you’ve always been interested in furthering your understanding of the culture and practices of Yoga, have been inspired to gain insight into the spirituality and refinement of the 8 limbs of Yoga, would love to dive deeper into the anatomy and physiology of the body and postures while refining your own physical practice (and much much more)- look no further! Join us for a well rounded and immersive experience! The 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is a 6 month program meeting once per week on Sundays (with the exceptions of bad weather/holidays). Join Rachel, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified 200hr Yoga Teacher, as she guides you through an afternoon of intuitive movement, breath work, and an introduction to intuitive eating.

Intuitive Eating is a framework that emphasizes eating for the sake of health, well-being and satisfaction rather than as a means of "weight control". By learning to eat and move intuitively, we can foster a healthier relationship with food to reach a state of liberation and peace with our bodies and minds.

At the worksop’s introduction, participants will receive an Intuitive Eating workbook where Rachel will discuss:

-The principles of intuitive eating and the synergy between yoga, mindfulness, embodiment and eating intuitively.
-How to identify your individual “eating personality” and how intuitive eating principles may help you overcome food-related shortcomings
-Strategies to eat more mindfully and make peace with food

After the instructional portion of the workshop, Rachel will lead you through a 60 minute slow-flow vinyasa practice focusing on body positivity and self-love.
